Acker Photography started out as a hobby photographing my military deployments. A freind had a photo album that was full of deployment photos. One page had one country and the next page had pictures from another country. I liked the idea. As I started to deploy, I started taking photographs with my own album in mind.
After some time, I had quite the album going. Family and friends commented on how good they thought my photography was.
A good friends of mine was getting married and needed a photographer and thought of me. I told him that I had not attempted a wedding before and have only one high school photography class. He gave me a shot.
As I started to enjoy photography more and more, my wife started to get into photography as well. It is something that we enjoy together.
Word started to spread that I had photographed a wedding which turned into several more asking me to shoot their weddings. We have now shot almost a dozen weddings. I have been interviewed by the local paper for my landscape photography, and have sold the photo to be used on the cover of the Minnesota English Journal.
